The fund targets innovative and technological Portuguese companies with proven results and global growth potential. Complementarily, the fund will invest smaller tickets in early stages as a way to access later stages to the ones which performed better. The predecessors showed the investment capability with Bluetech I totally invested in 19 of the most innovative companies in the country and Bluetech II already invested in 12 technological companies.     • THE PROCESS

      The timeline to obtaining citizenship

      Up to 20 days after your application is approved, you and your family members will receive their residency cards, immediately enjoying the benefits of residency and free travel in the EU.

      Year 1-2

      The residence card will allow you to travel freely within the Schengen countries (you also need to bring your passport) without applying for any visas. In the first two years, you must spend at least a total of fourteen days in Portugal. At the end of the second year, it’s necessary to go through a card renewal process.

      Year 3–4

      The new residence card is valid for two years. During this period, you need to be in Portugal for at least another 14 days (consecutive or non-consecutive). At the end of the period, it’s necessary to go through another renewal process.

      Year 5+

      You can apply for permanent residency or citizenship after the fifth year, and obtain a Portuguese passport. If you do not want to apply for either, you can continue renewing your Golden Visa every two years.
